Her Travel Memories

Healing. Rebuilding. Becoming Traveling.

About me

Hi, I’m Lizzie —

Aspiring writer, self-proclaimed photographer, solo traveler… and a woman rebuilding her life after burnout.

Her Travel Memories started during a period of complete exhaustion — when I felt disconnected from myself, my work, and honestly, from life in general.

At first, travel felt like an escape plan. A fantasy of packing everything up and disappearing somewhere quieter.
I’m sure you’ve fantasized about that too.
But over time, this space became something else entirely.

The truth is: I’m messy. I try not to be, but I am.
Think of it this way :
We were on the same train ride today, and I happened to forget my journal. You came across it, and curiosity got the better of you.
So you opened it.

Inside, you found self-portraits with identity-crisis notes scribbled next to them. One angry page about burnout — or more realistically, several angry pages about burnout. Stories from coastal cities. My favorite coffee shop for rainy days. An obsessive deep dive into nervous system regulation. And somewhere in the middle of it all, a slightly chaotic plan to build a new life and income from scratch.

That’s the blog.

Her Travel Memories is my personal story — from burnout, to healing, to rebuilding, and learning how to create a softer, more intentional life mentally, financially, creatively, and emotionally.

It’s not the polished version of healing.
It’s the real one.
Slow.
Messy.
Beautiful sometimes.
Heavy at others.

But honest.

This space is for gentle souls, overthinkers, exhausted people trying to start over, and anyone searching for a life that feels more meaningful than simply surviving.

So whether you came here for travel stories, photography, or the burnout journey itself — welcome.

I’m glad you’re here.
