Hey, welcome back to my blog. I hope you’re doing well.
Today—no burnout stories, no heavy reflections. Just a coffee shop address that I genuinely think is worth your time.
If you’ve read my Riga article, then you know I went there to breathe, slow down, and get a feel for the city. And let’s be honest—a safe and delicious way to do that is through good food. So, of course, I searched for brunch spots and those Instagram worthy cafés. Because, well… that’s what we do now, right?
Out of all the places I visited in Riga, my absolute favorite was the Mulberry Café.
Tucked away in the Art Nouveau district, Mulberry stands out with its bright, flowery façade. You really can’t miss it.

As you walk in, you’re welcomed by more pastries than your self-control can handle. Everything looks so good, you’ll want to stay and try it all—and maybe you should. But I didn’t. I came in with a clear idea of what I wanted (because that’s just who I am).
Now, if you’re not a control freak like me who studies the menu beforehand, I strongly encourage you to walk in, glance at the English menu on the wall, and let your mood guide you. Honestly, you can’t go wrong.
I ordered the poached eggs, salmon, and English bun, and it was just as delicious as expected.
I tend to go for the same type of brunch every time—I know what I love, and I stick with it. And this time, I was pleasantly surprised. Normally you get a lonely little slice of salmon trying its best to be noticed. But here? I actually had more salmon than I needed. Finally, a place that gets it.
As for the sweet side of things—I had to try one of their pastries.
I’m a sucker for cinnamon, so of course, I went for the cinnamon roll.
Yes, yes—I know. So many choices and I picked something basic. But I can’t help it. And if you’re a cake lover, you’ll absolutely find your version of happiness there.

Back to the cinnamon roll—it was delicious. Soft, perfectly spiced, and just the right size to end my brunch feeling fully satisfied, but not overstuffed. You know that balance? That was it.
And the iced coffee I ordered alongside? Also delicious.
The café itself is beautifully simple, not overcrowded, and gives you all the time you need to enjoy your food without feeling rushed. Honestly, it’s the kind of place where you could easily linger, journal a bit, people-watch, or just treat yourself to a second round of pastries.
If you’re heading to Riga and love a good brunch, Mulberry Café is my go-to recommendation.
